Organic Certification Advantages

Organic certification guarantees that products were manufactured and produced in accordance with the organic agriculture regulations. Furthermore, they are controlled at all stages: processing, production, packaging and marketing.

To obtain the CRAEGA certification, the operator must be enrolled in the related registry. To formalize the registration, a certification form must be submitted  with the corresponding attached form.

Once the registration has been received and verified by CRAEGA, an inspection will be carried out by a technician, who will draw up the minutes and a report and send them together with the required documents to the Certification Committee.  Finally, the Committee will then issue an opinion and, if favorable,  the registration in the CRAEGA registry will be formalized.

Product Certification is the responsibility of the Certification Committee and the Technical Management.

CRAEGA Certification system is explained in the “Certification and control procedures”, POC-04 procedure. It can be found next to chapter 9 of the Quality Manual “appeals, complaints and litigations”, on the announcement board of the CRAEGA headquarters or uploaded to the website.

Organic production has the advantage of preserving the soil fertility; avoiding chemical fertilizers and implemeting crop rotation, which prevents the increase of pests and the reduction of certain soil nutrients.

Compared to conventional agriculture, organic helps reduce the enviromental cost of energy, is self-sufficient, increases biodiversity and ensures sustainable development while also influencing consumer health.

Organic livestock breeding aims to produce healthy and quality products through the optimal and rational use of resources, respecting the environment and animal welfare  and without using synthetic chemicals. This practise is deeply linked to the land, and farmed animals are raised in a naturally in the open air.
